Out with the Old and In with the New

We all have feelings of attachment to things, people or places. It may be some toy or the city we grew up in or friends or a real close friend. But when we move on to newer places or start with another leg of our journey of life, should we still carry these feelings of attachment with us?

It would be best if we rather forget the old and open our minds for fresh ideas, different people, new places or even a new boy/girl friend. When it is said that it is this attachment to the old that hampers development and slows down progress of the society, the same also works for the individual life too. We must learn to respect the old and learn from it and not drag it along with us into the future.
If you had any great experience when in school, leave it there. If you had any friend with whom you talked to daily then but don't talk to now, forget him. that friend is probably better off without you and you are better off without him. Unless you are going to go back to where you started with, what is the point of harbouring such feelings? It is nothing but a waste of our time, mind and energy.
